Terms of Use — Wslak

The service

Wslak is a platform connecting customers in Syria with independent stores and restaurants and with drivers who deliver the orders. The store is responsible for its items, their quality and prices; Wslak organises ordering, delivery and collection.

Your account

• You sign in with your phone number and a verification code. You are responsible for everything done through your number.
• The information you enter — especially your address and contact number — must be accurate.
• You can delete your account at any time from the app.

Orders and payment

• Prices and delivery fees are shown in Syrian pounds before you confirm an order.
• Payment is cash on delivery. Refusing a confirmed order without reason, or repeated fake orders, may disable cash on delivery for your account or suspend it.
• A store may reject or cancel an order it cannot prepare; you then pay nothing.

Drivers

• Drivers work under the onboarding agreement they sign with Wslak; these terms apply alongside it.
• Cash collected from customers is held in trust by the driver until handed over at settlement, and every amount is recorded in an append-only ledger.
• A driver's location is shared only while on shift, to assign orders and follow deliveries.

Acceptable use

You may not use the service for anything unlawful, abuse drivers or store staff, or attempt to break into or game the service. We may suspend any account that does.

Liability

We work to keep the service available and accurate, but delivery times are estimates and can be affected by roads, power and connectivity. Wslak is not liable for indirect losses, and its liability for any order is limited to the value of that order, to the extent the law allows.

Parcel sending terms (Wslak Send)

Wslak Send is an intra-city parcel service offered through the Wslak app and food.wslak.com. Sending a parcel means you accept the terms below, which supplement the general terms of use.

• Liability: the declared liability for any parcel is capped at 500,000 SYP regardless of its actual value. Do not send irreplaceable documents or valuables.
• Prohibited items: weapons, ammunition, drugs, alcohol, hazardous or flammable materials, live animals, cash above the collection cap, gold or jewellery above the allowed value, prescription-only medicines, and other people's identity documents — none may be carried; such orders are cancelled and reported.
• Cash on delivery: the delivery fee is paid in cash at pickup or at drop-off (the sender's choice), and any "collect for me" amount is collected from the recipient and returned to the sender as Wslak balance.
• Returns: if delivery fails, the parcel returns to the sender and a return fee of 50% of the outbound fee applies. No parcel is handed over without its 4-digit handover code.
• Claims: any parcel problem (damage, loss, delay) must be reported to support within 48 hours of the expected delivery — later claims are refused.

These terms are governed by the laws of the Syrian Arab Republic. We may change them and update the date below; continuing to use the service after a change means you accept it.
